The GTM Research Reserve is excited to offer a series of fun activities over Christmas vacation.
On Thursday, Dec. 27 at 10 a.m., visitors can take a guided Cultural Hike through the Guana Peninsula that focuses on the history and archaeology of the area. Participates should meet at the trails parking lot.
On Friday, Dec. 28 at 10 a.m., visitors can participate in a Family Seining Activity, discovering the rich diversity of animals that live in the Guana Lake. Participates should meet at the dam recreation area.
Canceled!!! On Saturday, Dec. 29 at 8:30 a.m., visitors can enjoy a Beach Exploration, learning about the ecosystem and all of its in habitants. Participates should meet at the South Beach Access parking lot.
Programming is free with paid parking ($3 per vehicle) in appropriate lots. If you would like to tour the exhibit hall after the activities, the entry fee is $2.00 for adults, $1.00 for children age 10 to 17 and children under 10 are free. Space is limited for all activities. Please RSVP online or by calling (904) 823-4500
